Made an educational clock game. It’s based off of the chrome dinosaur game where users have to press the button on the raspberry pi display to move the dinosaur up and down. The objective is to make a dinosaur jump and avoid touching the cactuses. It’s a player loses, they are presented with some time period artifacts from the scene that they lost in. They will also be a score counter to motivate the player. Check out a demo here.
- Introducing DJ music companion. Using 3 sensors, we have a voice interaction which guides the user in playing instructions, playing sounds, and recording user-generated sounds. The second sensor we used was a button. We programmed the button to start recording user-generated sounds from the microphone. The 3rd sensor we used was a touch sensor. We plugged random objects like an aluminum wrapper for a granola bar, a mug, an Altoids box, a tin lid, an umbrella, and more onto the touch sensor. We downloaded rapper beats and guitar sounds as WAV files and programmed them onto specific ports on the touch sensor. Then the individual objects were mapped to those ports. We also allowed the user to play their recorded file using the 1st port on the touch sensor. Check it out here.
Made a musical painting that uses electric paint to play different sounds through a capacitive touch sensor hooked on the back.
